Sorry to have deleted that comment, I just wanted to change something I'd posted and couldn't work out how to edit a comment after I'd published it. So here it is again.
Nick, you omitted to remind your readers that you would be on the radio this morning. However, as I am a sad git I had made a note of the event and so I was able to tune in. I had intended to go and see The Consequences of Love anyway as it had already been highly recommended by my friend Mr A. It was interesting to hear it praised again - I've just got to find a suitable cinema. I may even go to see A History of violence before it appears on the TV.
By the way - I could tell immediately from your voice that you are a northern bloke, so you are mistaken to believe you have completely excised your regional accent. I could also tell (but only because I have a trained ear and a good imagination) that you had not topped up your blood sugar level beforehand with a bar of chocolate or small whisky. When are you next on, Mr Famous?
Irene, you are far too kind (& besides, I never drink whisky so early in the morning). Would have publicised the show, but posting somehow got overlooked last night. There will be more in early November however, which will be linked to via a post nearer the time.
