A modest ray of sunshine in a gloomy time: in my occasionally alluded to professional life as a part-time rural IT consultant, I'm responsible for a small number of websites of taste and distinction. One of them has just won 'Best Website Of The Year' at the 2007 British Federation Of Film Societies annual awards. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet the great Nic Roeg at BFI South Bank when he was handing out the gongs. But if you or your organisation would like a website like this one , drop me a line in the comments or via the email at the bottom right of the page, and I'll respond.

Bravo! Is the trophy big enough to drink Champagne® out of?w
Lex - I rather think it's a slab of glass (as opposed to a glass), but have not yet actually seen the thing (it goes to Keswick Film Club). This has not prevented champagne from being consumed however . .
Delighted to hear it.
Less delighted, but feeling obliged nonetheless, to pass on this blog post highlighting our ostesible leader's leadership style ... if, by "leadership style," I mean "rude, imperious attitude."
"ostensible"
Yea Nick! May you go on to get some compensation commensurate to your award-winning skills!

Hi Phred, prego, many thanks - & I'm sure you're not casting nasturtiums on Al's big win (there was a moment when I thought the supreme court was going to get involved & would award the Oscar to another contender with fewer votes from members of the Academy . . .)
